Let the hunting horns declare our mission, let the games begin, we will go for the roots, we will hug the mud, we will feel the trembling force of the train and lick the sweet taste of the dust that turns out our daily food…

Manager’s and all kinds of mainly brainworkers are after all pretty pitiable people.
Most days it is quite hard to see what we are building and to acknowledge that thoughts can indeed be planted. There are only moments when we feel or see that we have somehow reached a new level or we look back and hopefully realise that something is growing and if in the heads of others - and we smile. But - in the blink of an eye - we can be too busy again to remember what we have created. What exists and does not exist is in our head - and there is a lot of stuff. So we lose sight again.
Most days we look back at what we did and on the surface there is nothing -there is no buildung and no new floor, no telephone cable connected, no street built, no healed person, no clothes produced, no bunch of flowers, no tree build, no flowers watered and grown, no one we’ve transported, no hole filled, nothing broken restored not a 100 loafs of bread that fled the counter like free pots of honey the beemaster collected meticulously in an arduous routine - the sweat drips on the inside of your astronaut-like clothes.
Don’t get me wrong. I am thankful for having the freedom to challenge the brain and plant thoughts and earn my living with it, yet it is often so difficult to acknoweldge that ideas can be grown, thoughts can be planted and dreams build. But if you doubt yourself - be assured - they can…
The most admirable things in life are theoretically ungraspable: love, family, happiness, sadness… so is gut feeling. But only because we cannot express in words what our gut tells us or make specific arguments of it, it doesn’t make it less valuable. And afterwards everything seems to make sense ! This is why I have an argument:
My gut feeling tells me we should do it this way and hell yeah I’m going with it!
Sometimes things seem so easy - we think them through and we know exactly how it will work out. We still have to do it though. I admittedly have some difficulties with this…
Sometimes we think re-think twist it around lighten shadowy sides see new perspectives doubtful explorations into the blue where no boundaries or barriers we could question everything and then believe persuade ourselves to live in the moment or plan make maps and structures milestones deadlines what way should we approach all this….
and sometimes:
WE JUST HAVE TO FUCKING DO IT
Let Go - Use Music - sometimes it is your best friend!
How music simply seems to gently hit that little button that makes everything seem so beautifully right and then - we mingle in the moment. Strangely it seems especially melancholic tunes and words transmit a feeling of calmly breaking free from the boundaries we seem to encounter and turn out as our best saviors from the burdens on our backs.
Words are actions - they change perception.
And actions are words, sometimes books - quiet and subtle.
Everything we do, think and speak is.
When the sunshine breaks through clouds something changes, something evolves - if we allow for it to change - change us.
Where we want to see repetition and lonely lack in variation - it is.
Where we want to see how stunningly indescribable and beyond words and thoroughly beautiful life is - it is.
In one moment we are small and meaningless and it feels good - the wonder of life overwhelms us.
Yet as all connects - worlds as they exist within every human - can change because our tiny self camly speaks or embraces - and the wonder of life overwhelms us.
”And again I saw that freedom did not mean the freedom FROM but the freedom TO something…”

“go and see for yourself to thouroughly understand the situation”
Taiichi Ohno, creator of the Toyota Production System is credited, perhaps apocryphally, with taking new graduates to the shopfloor and drawing a chalk circle on the floor. The graduate would be told to stand in the circle and to observe and note down what he saw. When Ohno returned he would check and if the Graduate had not seen enough he would be asked to keep observing. Ohno was trying to imprint upon his future engineers that the only way to truly understand what happens on the shopfloor was to go there. It was here that value was added and here that waste could be observed. […] Since real value is created at the shopfloor in manufacturing, this is where management need to spend their time.
INVICTUS
“Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.”
William Ernest Henley (1849–1903). At the age of 12, Henley contracted tuberculosis of the bone. A few years later, the disease progressed to his foot, and physicians announced that the only way to save his life was to amputate directly below the knee. It was amputated when he was 17. Stoicism inspired him to write this poem. Despite his disability, he survived with one foot intact and led an active life until his death at the age of 53.

If you’re always trying to get to the top
You don’t get to the bottom of nothing
Then you’re gone before you know it
You’d better stop (stop)
Learn a little giving and loving
…
You don’t gotta keep no other man down
For you to get up
There’s no need to worry
Just don’t give away your self-respect
…
But give away love (give it)
And give it for free
No strings attached
Just don’t ask for it back
